Tatooine? No, tattooing.

I had another 'first', today. After a few months contemplation I finally took the plunge and got 'inked'. I was booked in for 11:00 today and, as advised, made sure I'd eaten properly beforehand.

I wanted a yin-yang design, and had asked about white ink, as I wanted it to be really bold and contrasting but a) the guy said it would be more pain a very little gain (and more expense), b) the white can sometimes go a bit 'off' like paper in the sun, and of course c) I'm already a whiter shade of pale anyway.

I filled out the medical questionnaire and we finalised the design. He traced the basic outline, shaved that part of my arm (which took about 6 seconds), applied the pattern to ensure I was happy with the location.

Then the tattooing began. I lay back on the 'table' as he did a little bit so I could sense what it felt like. I wonder how many people have pulled out at this stage? It felt more hot than painful, and really wasn't too bad, and anyway I was already rather committed.

The main part took just over an hour, and then it was done! He took a few pictures (I waited til I got home), applied cream and wrapped the area in clingfilm.

Next stop: Superdrug, to get the bepanthen cream.

After a few hours, I removed the film, washed the arm and took my first pictures, before re-applying the cream and attempted to clingfilm my own arm.

Look. I'm a real man!

Just need to develop the muscle a little more to show it off.
