Salisbury

Another day, another drive into the country :)

Kristina drove all the way to Salisbury (after my initial less-than-helpful map-reading getting along the A303/A30) and we planned the circular walk starting at Old Salem and taking in Salisbury.

Old Salem

Tom on the Bridge!

Fabulous view. And a bridge.

We saw lots of light aircraft,
micro-lites and parachutists.

Rolling horse in the rolling fields

Another willow, but less whomping

Beware of Property Animals?
Sounds like an anti-capitalist war-cry

The long and not-very-winding road

Nice walk along the river,
with lots of butterflies

A 'red admiral' waits long enough for a photo

This one landed at my feet.
It's a 'speckled wood'.

East towards Salisbury on a raised walkway

Gasometer and greenery.

Swans like to rest a leg when they can

Tower (small one) of local church

But where's Old George?

At least we found the Dragon

Fabulous arch

I spy a spire

The glory of Salisbury Cathedral

Yes, I spent a lot of time looking up

Interesting modern addition

I loved this statue

I really thought this was a real guy at first

Is it a crypt?
A TARDIS?
No, just an old electrical box

After a long walk we rested at the car
for a while then headed to Bulford
to revisit my old primary school.

Awesome
