The Leo, the Blitz and the Wardrobe

Almost three years since I first encountered the semi-complete wardrobe, and it's time for action...

On Saturday, the bed is moved and the internals of the new wardrobe (special offer from Homebase) are constructed. A bit of measuring involved but not too much actual effort. Kristina helps by then moving all the clothes from the concrete wardrobe space to the new one - fabulous. At some point doors will be fitted (yes I know that's been said before but not by me)

I celebrate with another Bailey's pudding,
this time on a lower heat for longer,
and it rises up a fair treat :)

Goes down well, too

Sunday comes - is it an episode of CSI? Dexter? No - it's dust prevention for the rest of the bedroom - it's about to get dustier than Dusty Bin and Dusty Springfield combined.

I wield the mighty axe, and large bits
of breeze block and concrete fall!

Actually only one falls - after that I decide
to help them down as each one loosens,
so as not to damage the floor
beyond all recognition.

There is a bit of panic later as it transpires that
concrete dust has gone through some holes in
the wall to Tom's room and, more critically,
Tom's computer and other delicate equipment.
Luckily Tom is able to recover the situation
after I supply him with much compressed 'air'.

Then it's carry the debris down to the back door,
and survey my triumph. Apologies for the unbearable
whiteness of me-ing.

This pile takes 3 trips to the dump for disposal,
which leads to other stories later...
