08:15 All set up again and ready to go.
Mr Helpdesk has arrived. Awaiting others…
08:55 Still waiting, so I am analyzing cross-referencing the questions in the 2 mock papers with Transition Processes to check when best to go through them. As I have paper2 hard-copy that is most suitable for photocopying and distribution, whereas paper1 we will go through on the screen.
09:25 Still waiting. Mr Helpdesk is also wondering where they are. I have written a postcard and read chapter 2 of David Starkey’s Elizabeth (subtitled:Apprentice). That is indeed fascinating as I never realised even that Elizabeth I was daughter of Anne Boleyn, and Mary the daughter of Catherine of Aragon. I know so little of this period of history. Really glad Someone let me have this one to read, and not just for the GoodRead Spring Challenge points...
09:27 Mr Helpdesk asked where I am staying, as if about to suggest that I go there and come back again later, when it’s worth it. He goes again to try to find another delegate.
09:28 The Problem Manager has arrived, so that’s something.
09:29 Oh he’s gone again. I’m getting a sinking feeling…
09:46 Completed photo-copying paper2 and Problem Manager has returned. He very kindly got me internet access. What a nice chap. So I can blog this. No MSN but that's probably just as well - hotmail is working
Completed SACM with just the Problem Manager, and commenced Change Management
11:30 Mr Helpdesk returned (from the hospital, where the doctor hadn’t turned up either!) and we did more of Change Mgt.
11:50 Break for lunch and prayers. My wish is that more people are here this afternoon. This course isn’t really designed for people to dip in and out of.
Fruit for lunch!
13:00 We continued and complete Change Management and had a walk through sample paper 1 question 8. The 2 delegates who were in attendance now understand the structure of the exams much more. We also had quite a good session on Request Fulfilment – good questions being asked.
16:00 End of day 2
16:01 The Configuration Manager appears to apologise for not being here. He, the Change Manager and Release Manager have been involved in the CAB most of the day – so they’ve been doing for real the process I have been describing. That’s got to be some consolation.
Need to get them to look at a mock question themselves tomorrow and start getting into that.
I'm starving...
