Keeping it Riyadh

More pictures from Riyadh, after work (if you can call it that) finished for the day...

The Office! from the back

On the 17th floor as promised, looking east. Or possibly west.
Hmm it was afternoon and I crossed from the North tower towards the South Tower
and shadows are going away from us
so sun is behind in the west so...
facing east, just as I thought.

That'll be west, then, where it's brighter.
Should have posted this first. lol

Is that yours truly in a padded cell?
No such luck.
Just a lift being refurbished

The Enigma Cafe remains suitably mysterious
I did go to the entrance but it was VERY dark inside
and I couldn't read the arabic-only signs.

What a magnificent erection
I blogged that last visit but I'm easily impressed...

For your information the internet died in the hotel room at about 18:00. I know about incident and problem management so after various reboots I started my own diagnosis - there are different servers/routers on each floor and the ones on F4 and possibly F3 are a bit iffy. Technical term. This is therefore being blogged from the lobby. Next stop: coffee shop. I have reported the incident to the relevant authorities but they haven't given me a ticket number. Do you think I should sell Service Management training to the hotel?

Meanwhile I have been to the gym (which only opens at 19:00 so no early morning exertions for me - apart from walking to work and dodging taxis who have a conspiratorial mission to take me somewhere - anywhere!) . A kind member of staff (Alfred, if you need to know) used his magnetic name badge holder to get the second treadmill working for me. 20 minutes was more than enough. Then I tried the gym equipment and worked my way up from 2 'things' to 4 'things' on the machine. No idea what a 'thing' is but they MIGHT be 10kg each. Or not. I then worked on the dumbells (no comment required) and worked my way from 2.5 lb weights to 10lb... that was also more than sufficient.

The scales showed me at a somewhat alarming 94kg - and I calibrated them with some of the dumbells - they weren't lying. More gym and less carbs, methinks (which is a good thing anyway). I might need a weight count-down ticker! Crikey.
